Terms of Service
Last updated: 9 August 2026
By using Polishr you accept these terms. Questions: hello@getpolishr.com
The service
Polishr turns rough notes, typed, pasted, dictated, or photographed, into polished documents. The polishing is done by an artificial intelligence system.
Photographed notes are read for their text. Polishr does not interpret charts, diagrams, or drawings, and a page holding no readable text may return nothing.
Your account
You must be at least 13. If you are under the age of digital consent in your country, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms for you.
One account per person. You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for activity under your account.
Accounts may be signed in on one device on the free plan, three on Polishr Pro. A device unused for 30 days releases its slot automatically.
Your content
You own your notes and the documents Polishr produces from them.
You grant us a licence to host, process, and display that content in order to operate Polishr, and to use it in aggregated and de-identified form to improve the service. We do not use it to train AI models, and neither does our AI provider.
You are responsible for what you put into Polishr. Do not upload content you have no right to use.
Plans and payment
The free plan has a limited monthly allowance, one device, one page per photographed note, and shorter inputs. Polishr Pro raises all of these and adds voice input and the advanced polishing controls. Current limits are shown in the app.
Subscriptions on iOS are billed by Apple, not by us.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends.
- Cancel in your Apple account settings. We cannot cancel for you.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under their policies.
- A free trial, if offered, converts to a paid subscription unless cancelled before it ends. One per person.
We may change prices, effective from your next billing period, and will tell you first.
Monthly allowances exist so the service stays affordable to run. We may apply limits if usage is far outside normal individual use or appears automated.
About the output
Polishr's output can contain mistakes. It may misread handwriting, misinterpret your notes, or phrase something in a way that changes the meaning. Unclear handwriting is transcribed as our best interpretation, which may be wrong.
Check the output before relying on it, especially before sending it to anyone else.
It is not legal, medical, financial, or other professional advice. You remain responsible for what you do with what Polishr produces.
Acceptable use
Do not use Polishr to break the law, to process content you have no right to, to produce material that harasses or defames, to bypass plan or payment limits including by modifying the app, to reverse engineer or attack the service, or to resell its functionality.
We may suspend or close accounts that breach this.
Availability and liability
Polishr is provided "as is". We do not guarantee it will always be available, or that the output will be accurate or fit for any particular purpose. We may change or discontinue features, and will give reasonable notice if we discontinue the service entirely.
Nothing here excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded. Otherwise we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, or loss of data, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the previous twelve months.
Keep your own copies of anything you cannot afford to lose.
Ending it
Delete your account in Settings at any time. This permanently removes your notes and cannot be undone. Cancelling a subscription is separate and is done through Apple.
We may close an account that breaches these terms.
Changes
We may update these terms and will tell you in the app if a change is significant.
